As reported by Xinhua News Agency, CCTV and other mainstream media on February 13, Penglai -6 well of Southwest Oil and Gas Oilfield has been successfully drilled and cemented, reaching as deep as 9026 meters, which creates the deepest vertical well record in Asia. HYST supplied the large-diameter thick-walled casing with the third-generation gas seal premium connection for the well, contributing to the realization of the world-class level of China’s drilling equipment and drilling technology.

Penglai-6 well is an important exploration well with complex geological conditions of ultra deep well depth, ultra high temperature, ultra high pressure and high sulfur content. Faced with the challenges, HYST supplied the main intermediate casing, helping the successful drilling of Penglai-6 well.
